as built constructs its coworking space as a contemporary cabin in spain

the ‘coworking space’ of as built, a creative studio specializing in architecture and interiors, is located on the ground floor of a building in ferrol, spain’s historical center. in response to the constraints of the narrow volume and its few sunlight hours, the firm has created a white, elongated ‘cabin’ that acts as a shelter.

the work area 

the structure is made with lacquered MDF tables, opening the joints to remark the perspective from the entrance, as well as the floor. the dark painted OSD boards form the walls that contrast the stark whiteness of the other details, all of which are highlighted by recessed LED lighting. up to twelve people can be accommodated in the meeting room. the rest area is provided with a small kitchen and storage bookshelves. the studio adds, ‘the coworkers are provided with all the necessary services: wi-fi, multifunction copier, projector and projection screen, heating, alarms, and of course, good coffee.’
