in the kinetic art gallery of paris’ denise rené, vincent leroy presents his piece in motion titled ‘red unicycle’. the project replicates the same design principles as his oversized ‘boreal halo‘ levitating above the ground of carreau du temple on a smaller scale. ‘this new work sits between poetry, technology, and freedom of spirit,’ leroy remarks.

the installation is an opportunity to test visual and tangible experiences. made of four circular rings, the constructs transform their revolutions in fluid and limpid waves, as a liquid or a soft, impalpable, and imaginary material. these ripples take us into a spatial and immaterial lightness. their interactions intend to add an unreal feeling, as multiple interweaving each time renewed.
