‘stripped’ by floris wubben studio
dutch designer floris wubben has created a standing lamp that has been transformed from a raw tree branch with a minimum number of modifications. in keeping the natural form of the wood, ‘stripped’ is made out of one section, which is split into three parts beneath. as a result, the legs of the standing lamp are made, where the bark is almost entirely peeled from the branch with a rotating movement forming into a lamp-shade. by maintaining the integrity of the structure, each part of the section obtains a new function without losing its original unique appearance.
