designed by dutch studio hilberink bosch architecten, this interior renovation project provides both living and working accommodation for studio boot, a netherlands-based design practice. the scheme involved transforming an old dilapidated garage building that boasts three spacious open-plan levels behind its large brick façade. set back from the passing street, a large void is positioned at the center of the plan, crowned with a steel framed roof canopy. at ground floor level a lounge and dining space opens out onto a large garden at the rear of the property. carefully chosen decorations and furnishing are positioned around the structure, lending the scheme a sense of individuality.
