guapa peaks incorporates natural woods for durable bamboo headwear

‘guapa peaks‘ is an original wooden headwear brand incorporating sustainable natural materials with premium textiles. the company came about while spending many days, weeks, and months inside the workshop of guapa cycles, its sister business that focuses on engineering composite bicycles. after shaping rough prototypes, testing laminate strengths, and applying adhesives types, they were able to create a peak that would be light, strong, and durable enough to stitch. the english apparel collective says that it has ‘taken the technology, aesthetics, and construction of hard goods such as skis and skateboards then worked out a way to fuse this into soft good products.’  

the first collection consists of three different wooden peaks and five different hat designs. each one has been crafted from different variants of bamboo with the optimal thickness, weight, and construction characteristics that allow it to operate efficiently. as a result, no two peaks are the same, with different patterns decorating every surface. Our first production peaks come complete with a high precision laser engraved logo showing our manufacturing serial emblem to mark its first production authenticity. the project is currently looking for funding on kickstarter here.
