the ‘induction tube light’ by castor design is a minimalist fixture that utilizes the attraction of a magnetic field. with an understanding of the scientific property, the creators use its power to transfer an electrical current to a six foot white incandescent tube. in the sequence of events to turn on the device, users must place the bulb into a heavy geometrical base. while performing the action, they will realize the innovation of the wireless transmission in its ability to help the glass continue to emit light even if lifted several inches away from the supporting infrastructure. the product is available in four geometric shapes – a cone, cylinder, square, and rectangle –  milled from solid steel and plated in black chrome.
