each year, the A’ design award & competition celebrates the work of designers, architects, innovators and companies, through a fair and ethical competitive platform that acknowledges their creative and social impact on an international scale. cited as the world’s largest design competition, the organization’s main focus is promoting the winning projects – from conceptual to realized schemes – to the press, various media outlets, critics and manufacturers, providing a global audience for the awardees to showcase their talent and build their network, but most importantly, to highlight and advocate the development of good design.

the A’ design award & competition is recognized all over the world as a mark of excellence and quality. the initiative covers the vast disciplines of the design industry, thus offering more than 100 categories in which to submit your work. these include: architecture, building and structure design; digital and electronic devices design; furniture, decorative items and home design; social design; street furniture design; and packaging design.

all submissions entered into the A’ design award & competition, are reviewed by an international jury that is composed of scholars, fellow designers, industry professionals and media members. the panel is renewed each year, bringing in fresh perspectives to the review process, as well as to avoid any types of conflict of interest, ensuring a fair and level playing field. what is unique about the assessment procedure is that the principles and methodology of the A’ design award & competition offers preliminary scores and feedback on the ideas of designers and companies seeking to participate. judging is done over the course of several weeks, with each entry reviewed carefully, and the jury casting their votes independently without any influence of one another.

the jury’s selected winners are invited to a gala night for networking, where their work is put on display in an exhibition for attendees and the general public to visit. in addition, a yearbook will be published with all projects featured amongst the winning entries. other benefits of being an A’ design award & competition winner cover inclusion in the world design rankings – scoring all countries based on the number of designers that have been granted with an A’ design award; marketing and consultancy services to assist winners in the development of contracts and agreements provided by designmediators and designPRwire; being a part of the A’ design award’s business network platform in which they could receive additional direct business leads; and a 3D metal printed trophy made from stainless steel that is gold or bronze plated as a physical acknowledgement of their achievement.

as the main aim of the A’ design award & competition is to create publicity and advertisement opportunities, each winning project will gain extensive media attention distributed through the association’s database of tens of thousands of industry contacts. a press kit creator is provided for awardees to assist them in preparing electronic media mail outs to distribute their creative content; translation of their press material into 20+ languages is also offered amongst the other services offered to winners.
