BCV architects elongates green wall on bay meadows welcome center

the ‘bay meadows welcome center’, designed by BCV architects, features an elongated green-wall, and enlivens a new urban community in san mateo, california. influenced by a strategy of american architect robert venturi, the front elevation serves to exaggerate the small facility’s scale, and pronounces it as a civic landmark for the young and growing area. developed by habitat horticulture, the vegetated façade includes a variety of different plants. its continually changing nature, as well as the expansive public porch, promote visitors to repeatedly return to the facility.
