james bort was offered a ‘carte blanche’ for the creation of short film for baccarat

luxury crystal manufacturers baccarat gave french photographer and film maker james bort complete artistic freedom to create a short film that features the château baccarat wine glass collection. the fairy-tale like video was produced in collaboration with french fashion house lanvin and filmed at the house of baccarat in paris.

the château baccarat collection itself comprises two tumblers, red and white wine tasting glasses, a champagne flute, and a carafe. the pieces were designed specifically to enhance the visual and olfactory experiences of wine-tasting, produced as the result of research into not only degustation practices but also contemporary trends and best practices in the winemaking process itself. bort chose this factor as the conceptual point of departure for his film.
