young & battaglia suspends a chandelier inside a lightbulb for mineheart

the ‘king edison’ pendant lamp designed by young & battaglia for mineheart combines the simplicity of an edison light bulb with the romance and grandeur of a chandelier. instead of a filament, a miniature brass, ornate fixture is set inside a hand blown clear glass shade. the miniature luminaire is hung on braided silken cable. finished with satin chrome fittings, and a sturdy cord, the look follows contemporary trends.  the globed source of illumination marries charm, whimsy and elegance with its integration of old, new, modern and minimal. it is ideal for both individual suspension or in arranged clusters. the updated version of classic lighting styles was presented at fuori salone during milan design week 2014.
