for salone del mobile 2014, studio job has created ‘globe’, a small storage locker for italian furniture brand GUFRAM. outfitted with a polyurethane foam globe at the center of its structure, the closet unit becomes the center piece of an interior space. ‘it is a kind of secret chest where you can store the most vivid memories, the most tangible mementos, and the most precious souvenirs of the experiences accumulated in your travels across the four corners of the globe,’ explain job smeets and nynke tynagel of studio job.

‘use ‘globe’ as your personal space-time transporter; you can close your eyes, stroke the whole world and imagine to be running through the desert, or lost in an asian metropolis after having surfed the ocean waves nearby,’ they add.
