slovenian firm OFIS architects has completed the first of over 100 jeweler stores derived from the idea of bank safety deposit boxes. three store typologies, high street flagship stores, shopping center points and gold investment areas will all be based around the core idea of safety and protection. the box modules repeat throughout to provide a sense of continuity and repetition, from shelf to shelf and eventually, store to store.

in the street front and shopping center point locations timber is the main material, giving the space a more domestic feel, since these stores are sales oriented. the investment center will maintain a more formal atmosphere with stainless steel since it functions more as a business space. the diverse aesthetics of the wood and the steel will create an obvious visual division making it easier for customers to distinguish between them.

this completed project is the flagship street location for zlatarna celje in maribor, slovania.  OFIS architects: flagship jewelry store modular reception area and shelving units
