san francisco-based company jawbone have introduced their smallest, lightest, most ergonomic bluetooth headset latest – ERA. three years in the making, the wireless device is 42% more compact than its predecessor and boasts enhanced sound and efficiency for crystal clear audio. ‘with ERA, we first focused on the dramatically small size, designing the technology inside the desired form factor.’ explains yves behar, chief creative officer for jawbone. ‘we created custom batteries to fit the internal volume tightly and designed a smart internal layout that takes advantage of every remaining space inside the cavity.’

the redesigned ERA headset can be used to listen to music in the morning, making calls on-the-go, or for communicating with siri for getting directions around town. ‘a new earbud based on three years of user testing is single-handedly the most stable and comfortable yet, attaching the headset to the ear on the outer ear ridges and not relying on the eardrum cavity for support,’ adds behar. ‘we calibrated the earbud material to be supple and soft for long hours of wear, with the silicon exterior having enough surface grip to stay safely in place, even while running.’

for an extra power boost, an elegant aluminum rechargeable charging case doubles the device’s talk-time to almost 10 hours, also protecting it from getting damaged from the elements.
