the pliable coat-hanger
by milan-based designers lorenzo de bartolomeis, gabriele diamanti and filippo poli, of almove ddpstudio, was conceived with the urban nomad in mind. the piece can be stored in tight-packing instances– within suitcases, purses, pockets, or glove compartments of cars. the strength of this concept is the correspondence between form and function; the piece is utilitarian in nature, while also holding a very elegant form when extended to its intended use as a clothing hanger. after use the pliable coat-hanger can ‘disappear’, reduced to its most minimal size. every object of the collection is designed for those who are regular travelers.
