london-based barber osgerby’s creative studio MAP project office has collaborated with computer start-up kano to create a hands-on DIY computer kit using a raspberry pi. developed to enable users of all ages to have an immersive building experience, the packaging was designed to be kept and used as storage and includes printed instructions, guiding the user to quickly put together the components with a two-part bumper case for the computer board. in addition, a custom wireless keyboard supplements the system with a built-in touchpad and colour-coded buttons, making it easier for children to use and understand.

the DIY kano computer kit is currently seeking funding on kickstarter.
