during the recent abierto mexicano de diseno the workshop paul roco previewed pieces from its forthcoming collection. three designs; simone tables, dante chairs and greta lamps were shown at the palacio de la autonomía in the historical center of mexico city.

dante armchair – has a wooden base, a upholstered backrest in wool and a cow hide seat. the chair was first designed for the downtown hotel project of grupo habita in 2012. the update features a sleeker form and different finishes.

simone tables  – have a wooden structure with a top surface that can be rendered in glass, wood or textiles. the wooden structure undergoes a special burning process to obtain the black color on the outer surfaces.

greta lamps  – taking their form from the fragmentation of a hand grenade the split-second after it explodes these wooden lamps can be hung or left standing.
