Talk to the Hand is an interactive art installation based on curiosity incepted by breaking away the Saussurean association between the signifier and the signified.

The installation environment is largely inert to human presence. The sign on the wall is the only element that catches attention and draws the viewer to come closer. Human hand sign on the wall looks simple yet significant at the same time- simple because the signifier (human hand) is essentially a familiar object, and significant because of its placement in inanimate space and time.
By and large, in all religions, a pair of hands signifies stability and a single hand conversely suggests imbalance. The interaction and upward gaze of the onlooker initiates a conversation with the Hand. No matter how quick reflexes you try, the hand always runs away from as you go near to figure it out. The stable gaze towards it brings it back to you.
