‘paper glass‘ are reading glasses that measure 2 mm in thickness. the specs conceived by masahiro sawada feature frames made from nishimura metal and were developed based on the intention of creating eyewear that is easily and safely stored. folding flat when not in use, ‘paper glass’ creates a dynamic curve once opened that is formed to fit on one’s nose and face comfortably. the design has been acknowledged as one of the ‘BEST 100’ of the japan g-mark good design award 2013.
