robosans: robot made digital typography

created by a wired control robot, the ‘robosans’ digital font by egyptian designer mostafa el abasiry, is an interactive calligraphic experiment. gripping a small brush, the robot’s arm draws the character’s of the alphabet. after hours of practicing on the controller, the designer managed to manipulate the limitations of the motor arm’s movements so that the linear brush strokes have a unique ‘robotic’ aesthetic. the font is available for free here.
