developed as a collaborative effort between InHolland, NPSP composites and van.eko, dutch design duo waarmakers have created the Be.e; the first biocomposite e-scooter made with a  monocoque body of hemp, flax, and bio-resin. created with state of the art propulsion systems and well proven drive train components, the two-wheeled light electric vehicle is presented as a pay-per use solution, suitable for city commuting and even for trips into the country side. the batteries allow for up-to two hours of driving the hemp scooter or 60 km in the worst of conditions and the system includes with a 600W charger, allowing users to fully re-charge in under three hours. in addition, the windscreen is nano-coated with a hydrophobic layer that makes water droplets and dirt particles deflect off the surface, improving visibility in dark and rainy conditions.

the Be.e electric hemp scooter has a monocoque body; a unique construction in which the object’s external skin supports the load, similar to an eggshell, eliminating the need for a frame and the usual numerous plastic panels. this structural engineering feat is enabled through the use of dutch flax and bio-resin, creating an extremely sustainable, lightweight and strong material.
