after the success of FAB.com‘s disrupting design competition back in april during milan design week 2013, the online design store is pleased to announce a second call out for product concepts which is taking place during the international contemporary furniture fair (ICFF) in new york.

 

designers from around the globe are invited to present their ideas, portfolios and prototypes to a panel of experts at the jacob k. javits convention center (655 W 34th street) on tuesday, may 21st, 2013, from 1PM – 3PM.

 

the jury will listen to each creative’s pitch and nominate the top products presented to be put into production and sold on FAB. the NYC panel includes:

‘we were so impressed with the designers we met in milan that we decided we couldn’t wait to do the whole thing all over again,’ says bradford shellhammer, FAB’s founder and chief design officer. ‘at FAB, we are constantly reinventing ourselves and rethinking what FAB can be. by directly engaging with aspiring designers to find the best new work out there, we’re hoping to help even more of our members find things they love.’

on the occasion of new york design week, FAB will also be announcing the finalists from the milan edition which saw more than 150 designers from over 30 countries pitch their aides to an international jury, of which 12 winning products have been success.
