japanese designer tokujin yoshioka has proposed a mobile phone with a transparent form and body. ‘x-ray’, a collaborative project with japanese product manufacturer KDDI iida, is the result of a conceptualizing process that explored the notion of a design without a shape. the product is a mobile phone which provides an aesthetic and texture that is legible and true to its function, an idea which yoshioka refers to as, ‘designing from the inside’.
