Oxygen supplying algae funeral
Algae can be used for different purposes in funerals.
Bio fuel can be made of algae. CO2 and waste water is necessary for growth processes of algae, which then produce oxygen.
So algae can be used in( self-sufficient)* crematoria for the burnig of the dead.
We are one step away from converting light algae and glow fungi as natural sources for temporary illuminated surfaces..
Local centres, as an extension of crematoria, will provide different models of memorial sarcophagi and rings.
These hollow mold pressed forms, available in different sizes, are made of eco friendly restmaterials, humus, paperclay and can be mixed with the ashes of the dead.. Eco friendly letters and stuff are done in these memorial chests and will be closed waterproof.
A personal 'talisman 'made of paperclay and ashes can be made (in collaboration with the employees of the center) and can be put into the coffin or taken home.
The chest can float for several hours, or slowly wreck in a garden.
A special gel with luminous algae(for the waterfloating coffins) or natural glow fungi (ground coffins) can be put on the surface of the coffin. The luminous fungi illuminate about a week (but need a very moisture environment)
The making and preparing of these memorial sarcophagi and talisman create the possibility to a joint ritual / ceremony.
The floating and the luminous give the choice to extend the ceremony and give it a special touch, and it's 100% natural sourced.
The dead slowly leave in light and let oxygen behind to the living.
The chests dissolve in nature without a trace.
The energy- consuming parts are completely self-sufficient.*
The floating ring has an urn-ball in the middle.
If the chest is buried in the ground, a bigger coffin of this pressed humus material is available, but can remain less long in open air.(because of the body)
*in the next contest i will sketch and explain this self-sufficient building.
