When researching for this project I found that one of the things that people least like about funerals is the smell that surrounds it. The particular strong scent that comes from the treatment of the dead obviously don’t have anything to do with the person that we once knew.

Instead, imagine if we could fill the air with a particular odour that identify the dear family member to be remembered. According to experts, fragrance bring back positive memories from the past. In that case it could be a customized fragrance that reflect the home of that specific person or it could be that special ambiance from his or her favourite space…

With sophisticated formulas from the fragrance industry that odour could be captured and reproduced. We would be able to pass this unique fragrance on to our loved ones and the formula could be stored and reordered by request from caring family members in the future. Once a unique fragrance is created, it can also be blended into other products like oils and candles for example or even in amortization of spaces.
