Maserati arrives at monaco yacht show 2024

At Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Maserati has unveiled its all-electric powerboat TRIDENTE as well as its rose gold convertible, GranCabrio Folgore. The Italian car manufacturer takes advantage of Port Hercule, where the international boat show is located, to showcase its two recent creations. For the all-electric powerboat TRIDENTE, they’ve collaborated with the Modena-based company Vita Power, a marine technology firm working on the production of all-electric powertrains and yachts.

For the GranCabrio Folgore, which is dubbed the first 100 percent electric convertible on the market, Maserati implements its 800-V technology to boost its power and performance. The electric watercraft and convertible are at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 between September 25th and 28th. During this time, visitors can get a closer look at the vehicles’ designs as well as the technology the car manufacturer has used.

All-Electric Powerboat TRIDENTE by Maserati

Maserati’s all-electric powerboat TRIDENTE is a ‘day’ boat. It is made of carbon fiber, finished by the craftsmen at Hodgdon Yachts. Up to 10 passengers can hop on and ride the watercraft, and its cockpit is reconfigurable. Here, the owner can transform it between a dining space and an acceleration booth for cruising. While it may look compact from afar, it does have a bathing area complete with a shower. There’s also an enclosed cabin on board, which includes a dayberth, or a temporary docking space, as well as a restroom.

Passengers who want to go for a swim can access the sea using the ladder, or they can just dive from the bow where the trident symbol of the electric powerboat is carved into the wooden material. TRIDENTE is a 10.5-meter electric powerboat with a maximum output of 600 horsepower and a battery capacity of 252 kWh. Maserati says it boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots, a top speed of 40 knots, and charges up on direct current in under an hour.

GranCabrio Folgore Convertible with Rose Gold Bodywork

The electric powerboat TRIDENTE isn’t alone at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024. It’s joined by Maserati’s GranCabrio Folgore, its 100 percent electric convertible. It shines with its rose gold bodywork, a subtle contrast to the carbon fiber skin of the watercraft. The car manufacturer first unveiled the open-top convertible in April 2024, and it’s the first time they’ve brought it to the Monaco Yacht Show. During the event, visitors can see its Titan Grey canvas and retractable soft top, as well as its ECONYL Denim and Ice interior.

For some adrenaline rush, the electric convertible can reach a speed of 290 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. It comes with Maserati’s 800-V technology powered by its three 300-kW permanent magnet motors. These motors can be optimized for maximum range, as the driver can configure options while cruising, including the drive and specific parameters and energy-saving modes. When these are active, the GranCabrio Folgore can boast a range of up to 447 km.
