Mercedes-Maybach has just unveiled something truly special at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week 2024 — the new SL Monogram Series. This sporty, two-seater convertible is the most dynamic model in Maybach’s lineup to date, offering an elevated open-air driving experience. The vehicle stands out for its thoughtfully designed blend of colors and materials that ties the exterior and interior together through the iconic Maybach pattern.

When it hits the market, the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series will come in two distinct design concepts: Red Ambience and White Ambience. The Red Ambience version pairs obsidian black metallic with MANUFAKTUR garnet red metallic, while the White Ambience model combines obsidian black metallic with MANUFAKTUR opalite white magno. Both color schemes perfectly capture the luxurious, light, and airy vibe that the car is all about. If these colorways don’t quite fit, no worries — additional exterior colors can be customized to drivers’ liking upon request.

The Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series is all about cohesion, bringing together the exterior and interior with matching patterns and materials. Up front, you’ll notice a chrome-finished grille with illuminated contours and subtle MAYBACH lettering. The hood, featuring the iconic Mercedes star, also comes with an optional hand painted Maybach pattern in graphite grey. The headlights pop with rose gold accents, and a custom front skirt with horizontal air intakes gives the car a wider, more commanding look.

Along the sides, the windscreen frame shines in chrome, and chrome inserts run along the sill cladding. The back of the car doesn’t disappoint either, with Maybach-branded rear lights, a custom rear skirt, and a diffuser that ties the whole design together. The aerodynamic double scoop behind the seats, along with the chrome fin on the hood, adds a sporty flair, especially with the top down.

The cabin is decked out in sustainably tanned, crystal white MANUFAKTUR Exclusive nappa leather, covering everything from the door panels to the center console and, of course, the brand’s signature comfort seats. The new floral upholstery design adds a fresh twist, while silver chrome trim and galvanized seat backrests provide a sleek contrast. Meanwhile, technology is woven throughout, with a fully digital instrument display and an adjustable center display that features Maybach-specific animations. Other unique touches include a Maybach-branded steering wheel, stainless-steel pedals, and custom door sill trims.
