LinkOne Watch is Inspired by Iceland’s Rugged Elegance

Inspired by Iceland’s rugged landscapes, Johan Link presents LinkOne, a watch that embodies nature’s raw elegance and timeless charm. As a Swiss architecture student with a deep passion for design, Link embarked on this project to design and assemble his own timepiece. The result is a distinctive watch that blends raw geometric elements with delicate surfaces, reflecting the simplicity and elegance of nature. After months of experimenting with sketching, iterating, 3D printing, and prototyping, Link introduces the completed timepiece.

Johan Link’s Innovative Design utilizes Unconventional Materials

The watch features a black anodized aluminum case and 3D printed Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) straps, offering a velvet-like texture for a comfortable wearing experience. The case is crafted from CNC-milled 6061-T6 aluminum, known for its strength and durability, and is bead-blasted and anodized for a refined appearance.

LinkOne combines unconventional materials and meticulous design, showcasing the innovative spirit of its creator. The project showcases the utilization of modern design techniques, resulting in a watch that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
