THIRST by Maarja Mäemets features expertly crafted, mold-blown, and hand-sculpted glass watering cans that highlight the beauty and versatility of the material. Drawing inspiration from the metaphor of nurturing and growth, the series symbolizes the importance of watering and cultivating aspects of life that deserve attention. each THIRST series piece has its own name and backstory

Each piece in the collection stands approximately 250 mm tall with a bottom diameter of 140 mm. The series includes two editions: THIRST 2.0 (2024) and THIRST 1.0 (2023), each consisting of 10 unique pieces by Maarja Mäemets. Every object is named and has its own backstory, such as XENA, symbolizing darkness and strength; CHARIOT, representing determination and drive; RICO, embodying a mindset of abundance; IVY, a muse of devotion and fidelity; JUICY, a charmer attracting like pure honey; and DOLLY, a soft presence with hidden strength. These watering cans are the result of a collaboration between the Estonian glass artist and glassblowers Aleksandra and Martin Ehrensvärd from Stockholms Glasbruk studio in Sweden.
