Rock n Roll - The rotatable dress was a part of my project in NID called - Deconstruction, Construction n Reconstruction. Shopping bags made out of waste industry cloth were being sold at the old city of Ahmedabad. Those were bought at a very nominal price of Rupees 15 each and then deconstructed. The ripped off sides of the bags were draped on a dress form and a pattern was derived which was equal from all four sides. Hence a dress was made out of those patterns which was joined with buttons. The buttons could be opened and the dress could be worn from all four sides having 4 different kinds of patterns printed on it.
