there is no doubt that a great work environment directly correlates to the quality of work output in most cases, so we would expect nothing less of the recently-opened ‘google office in tel aviv.’ fostering a creative, relaxing and all the while disciplined environment for the growing team of engineers,sales and marketing experts, the space features elaborately themed rooms spanning over eight floors, occupying the centrally-located electra tower in tel aviv. the work is the result of swiss design team camenzind evolution, also responsible for some of google’s other notable offices, in collaboration with local firms setter architects and studio yaron tal. almost 50% of every area is a communication landscape, from old stone street-scapes to country-side prairies, employees can find the ideal ambiance representative of israel’s diverse landscapes, in which to socialize, share and collaborate with their fellow colleagues.

three restaurants serve a variety of kosher foods, each with their own theme and style, while less distracting work areas provide a more traditional, quieter area to concentrate on the task at hand. one of the floors is dedicated to the ‘google campus,’ in fact the second one in existence, which gives smaller start-up companies a base camp from which to operate. the material palette covers just about the entire spectrum available, from a variety of woods and treatments, steel and iron elements, textured carpets, and an eclectic array of props that bring the spaces to life. the building is currently awaiting LEED platinum certification as well, making it the first of its category in the country.
