j. mayer h. architects and sebastian finckh have just completed home.haus, a new four-story-residential building for children and adolescents. the home, which is located near the edge of the forest in hamburg, germany, has a two color relief façade which embraces the house’s compact volume. there is a central staircase which penetrates between the floor, creating a open space, encouraging communication amongst the youth who live there.
