a speculative proposal for london, the ‘color for a green farmhouse’ created by catarina | stewart is a hybrid between sustainable architecture and color psychology. a vertical complex of lofts and agricultural plots attracts visitors with bold colors proven to entice the interest of individuals. upon arrival, guests may indulge in foods locally grown and harvested by the community.
the intention is for their cumulative digestive processes to generate enough compost, power and electricity to be used and sustain the closed system within their site boundaries. marketing and advertising color strategies are used to create popular public toilets within the confines and to process the excrement on site. methane gas, the predominant by-product, which enter biogas digesters to supply electricity.
