netherlands based architect chris collaris has designed an exhibition booth for dutch LED lighting company, inventdesign. the booth is one of five hundred to participate in horecava 2011, a trade show representing the restaurant and hospitality industry taking place in amsterdam.

defining the perimeter of the stand is a curtain-like facade that hangs suspended from the ceiling. the four sided structure uses different LED products and configurations to create and define the area. treated as separate entities and experiences, the exterior facade is used for branding while the inner wall provides atmospheric lighting to the actual exhibition area.

by raising the customized LED unit in this way, the exhibition space below becomes open and accessible, providing space for meetings and service exchange. inside, intertwining ringlets anchor the space, acting almost as archways through which the visitors enter.

to remain in line with the economical and sustainable factors associated with LED lighting, the booth is constructed in a way that allows it to be 99% reused and recycled after the show finishes.
