the armor sideboard closed
designed by david keune the armor sideboard is a stand alone piece of furniture which offers shelter for one’s valuables. to reveal the contents of what is inside, the three ‘doors’ slides slid into one another in one fluid movement and are connected to the interior display shelf. the piece is crafted from oakwood parts and shows the tradition of ancient wooden chests and this way of enclosing and protecting precious items. the angular shapes refer to a contemporary version of protection and defendence.
