the company produces many containers made of heat-resistant glass, for example a tea service and egg coddler by willhelm wagenfeld, a bremen-born designer who had studied at the bauhaus. wagenfeld had worked closely with the jenaer glas company which specialised in developing scientific and household products. with the wagenfeld edition, jenaer glas is bringing the cult product out of the design museums and back onto the market.

It is quite suitable not only for the preparation of eggs, but also for the preparation of pastries, soufflés, sweets and amuse-gueule. in march 2008, a second egg boiler came onto the market – now available in two different sizes.
