julien bergignat is a french designer with a forte for watches. with his 2006 design ‘tima‘ bergignat investigated the possibilities of a timepiece that could switch between a ‘classic’ and a digital display using E-paper. his most recent watch design ‘tact’ is completely analogue but equally explorative.

the word ‘time’ is inscribed on the watch in braille indicating the direction of reading. hours are marked by the central circle with a point larger than the secondary circle which denotes minutes.
