rachel griffin is a multidisciplinary designer currently living and working in the netherlands. two of her most recent projects are the ‘swing skirt’ and the ‘wear and repair’ series.
swing skirt
equipped with ropes that can be thrown easily over objects- the ‘swing skirt’ provides a light-hearted experience in the dreary urban landscape. using existing terrain, one can swing on anything from a traditional tree branch to a cross-beam of scaffolding via the extra-long shoulder straps.
wear and repair series
everyday items already covered with tape can be customized as they wear out. repairing the objects with new tape becomes an integrate part of the design.
