the centre pompidou is devoting a monograph to british industrial designer and architect, ron arad, for the first time in france. this retrospective show presents his iconic works, including limited edition series pieces and mass-produced objects. prototypes, audiovisual displays and some architectural projects are also on show.
ron arad was born in tel aviv and trained at the jerusalem academy of art before continuing his studies at the architectural association school in london, where he settled in 1973. he is known for his object-based work which draws on sinuous, elliptical and oval forms.
