french designer benjamin graindorge has designed ‘courtoisie’ which is meant to bring images of a vanishing world into our homes. mirrors are used to line the interior basin of a bathtub, capturing both body and habitat. the mirror gives a ghostly image, a somewhat transparent and eerie reflection of the objects or people which are seen in its surface. ‘courtoisie’ is set to go into production by cinna in january 2009.
