laikingland is a creative collaboration based out of the UK and the netherlands, whose interests lie in designing products which evoke a sense of play and nostalgia. their first product is the ‘applause machine’ designed by british artist, martin smith. with the simple press of a button, the machine gives you a round of applause. even if no one else likes what you’ve done or agrees with you on a matter, you can commend yourself using the ‘applause machine’.
