an austrian designer of italian origin, patrick rampelotto’s installation was part of the exhibition of the milky way of central european design. on show were a selection of his designs including ‘rino’, plush felt bulbs hanging off the wall. they appear like wall decorations, but their real purpose is to function as a coat hanger. also on show were his ‘synergie’ lamps in which he take blown glass vases, reconfigures their positions and turns them into lights.
