the fractured silhouettes of ‘slip stools’ made of eternit, a concrete/fibre compound
these stools and tables by swiss designer nicolas le moigne were produced of eternit, a concrete and fibre compound.
his ‘slip stools’ are molded and left in a rough form emphasizing the industrial material of which they are made. here, the ‘flash’ (excess material which is left when two molded parts are attached together) which is normally removed in the production process is left as an aesthetic detail.

ECAL eternit stools
the eternit stools and tables are a more refined design, whereby the geometrically shaped objects are finished to reveal a smooth surface. their hollow nature allows one to easily move them.
