‘oddbod’ chair
‘oddbod’ chair is the newest design from madrid-based javier alejandre. the form plays on the boundary between an inert object such as a chair, injecting the object with shapes that are meant to remind one of extraterrestrial bodies. the formal influences behind ‘oddbod’ are drawn from the sci-fi movies of the mid-twentieth century combined with retrofuturistic organic design tendencies. its main body is made from rotomoulded polyethylene (PE), supported by pine legs.
