damien ummel: drinkbak red cross water unit
the ‘drinkbak’ red cross water unit by swiss designer damien ummel of atelier peekaboo offers safe drinking water in regions that have been hit by a natural disaster. the filtering unit cleans H2O, providing save drinking water to those in need. the development of the appliance was conceived during ummel’s studies at ECAL university of art and design lausanne, switzerland, and was presented within the ‘youngdesignersfair’ programme of the interieur 2010 in kortrijk, belgium.
