our friends over at core77 are currently hosting the ‘1-hour design challenge: play-doh kicks‘, in which they are asking readers to recreate their favourite footwear (sneakers, high-heels – anything goes!) out of play-doh.
‘cut loose and give your imagination a stretch. maybe you’ll create a miniature tribute to your favorite sneaker designer of all time. or, honor your humble, beat up kicks by sculpting their likeness, busted soles and all.’
how to enter: participants must execute their design in only 1 hour (all this based on the honor system) and upload their entries to the designated competition forum .
you should include the name of the shoe you have recreated, along with any supporting text, and photographs of your finished work including: a three-quarter view, side elevation and an optional sole view. the images should be hi-resolution in case it is selected for publication in sneaker freaker!
the challenge is open until saturday, september 25th, 2010 @ 9pm PST (4am GMT), so you still have time to get your creativity flowing and sculpt some of your favourite kicks!
