‘squashed + broken’ by israeli industrial designer yuri movshovich is an experimental project dealing with connections between wood and plastic polymer using flexible molds. aside from adding aesthetic value, the fractures help to strengthen the connection between the main wood material and the epoxy injection. meanwhile, the flexible molds aid in creating different variations of shapes and connection angles.
