recent design graduate of shenkar college, tel aviv, hanan kedmi, has created a series of jewelry made from heat sink devices that are attached to computer parts which tend to get overheated. kedmi was looking for ways in which to link the metal components and caught onto felting. felting the cold, high-tech metal parts with the warm wool, resulted in an interesting visual and textural combination of materials. each ring is felted in a way that allows them to be made as one piece, the colorful heat sinks used as stones.
