‘honeycomb lamp’
the work of japanese design studio kyouei design ltd. (kouichi okamoto) was featured in designboom’s ‘asia now‘ exhibition at dwell on design in los angeles.
‘honeycomb lamp’
made out of denguri paper, the fold-out lampshade can surround any light bulb and socket, producing a honeycomb pattern when fully open.

‘glass tank’
the ‘glass tank‘ works with air and water pressure. when emptying the glass, the tank re-fills it with a constant amount of liquid, without flowing over the brim.

‘liquid lamp’
in addition to the ‘liquid bookmark’, kyouei design has also recently released the ‘liquid lamp’. like the bookmark, the lamp is designed with a dripping pattern that makes the product appear as if it is melting.
