‘painting with a digital brush’ by teehan+lax labs

canadian design studio teehan+lax labs, has created a series of digital paintings by combining a sequence of algorithms that animates virtual maps from google and translates them into images produced by computer code language such as terminal.app or C:\. the integration of this technology is fused with a new experimental method of manipulating blank screens, resulting in a interactive visual experience. software converts the painted surfaces by projecting ASCII (american standard code for information interchange) in realtime, making it seem as if the user was directly applying code onto the canvas surface.
