at CES 2011, casio has just announced the upcoming release of ‘tryx‘, a new compact combination camera and camcorder.
in addition to its unconventional physical structure, the camera offers a set of shooting features, including slow-motion video capture and automatic artistic filters, designed to broaden the ways the device can be used for creative expression.

‘tryx”s three-inch LCD touchscreen can be rotated out of its frame and swiveled up to 270°, while its frame component rotates a complete 360°, enabling it to be used as a tripod, hook, or hand grip.
the camera features 12.1 megapixel resolution, high dynamic range imaging, high-speed zoom, and full HD and slow-motion video. the ‘slide panorama’ technology generates 360° panorama images by the user simply panning the camera across the scene.

‘tryx’ features a shooting mode called HDR-ART. as in regular high dynamic range technology, the camera automatically takes several shots at different exposures, instantly combining them into a single image. but HDR-ART also adjusts the contrast and saturation of the photograph, immediately producing an artistically styled image.
